I’m already back with a new DJ-set. This time it’s a quite deep mix where in 1½ hour and 16 tracks I’ve tried to build up atmosphere from some truly deep and laidback tech house up to banging peak-time techno. On the way there are elements of funky tech house, industrial-influenced big room techno and even some slightly trance-inspired progressive sounds, but I’ve tried to keep it deep and atmospheric all the way.

Made with the homelistener in mind, and not as much as a party mix.

About 1½ year ago I recorded a set by the title “From A to Z”. The concept was to make a very diverse mix with a continuingly increasing drive and intensity, and it is one of my most downloaded sets to date.

Now I bring you part two. Once again I start below 130 BPM, and over the course of 1½ hour I move through euphoric, yet deep progressive house over groovy, euphoric and melodic progressive trance up to deep, atmospheric full on.

About “From A to Z”:

“From A to Z” is one of the shortest sets I have recorded, but at the same time also one of the most diverse. I like variety in my sets, and for this one I wanted to try and make a relatively seamless yet still quite extreme increase in BPM and shift in moods. The BPM increases from 128 to 140 in just over one hour – going from deep and mechanical techno over melodic progressive trance to morning full on.

The set has some of the most frequently played tracks in my sets in 2008, as well as some slightly newer material.

As the title implies, “Afterthoughts” is a set for the afterhours. It was played at a Danish party after an intense night with progressive trance, full on and dark psy, and therefore gradually gets more and more laidback, decreasing in intensity to lead the way to the chillout DJ who played afterwards.

As I initially didn’t plan to put it online, it’s not the most upfront set I have recorded – just 2 hours of what I consider very high quality tech house and melodic techno. Enjoy :)

Unless if you’ve been living under a rock for the past year, you should know by now, that techno and tech house is where it’s rocking at the moment. My newest set for Aero-Groove.com contains 10 of my tech favorites from the past few months, ranging from banging dancefloor material to deeper tracks. The set starts out pretty laidback, and then gets increasingly more intense, until it finishes with some sweet, almost trancy melodies.

It’s been roughly a year since the last set I recorded. A lot of great music has been released since then, and in this set I will feature some of the artists I consider among the trendsetters in the progressive psytrance scene – plus a couple of fresh, new artists.

After a short introduction from Eelke Kleijns new album, FREq’s tribal remix of Antix’s “Cold Nights” take over. The tribal style is continued in Antix and Embarks summer-hit “Hammer & Tongs”, after which the set takes a short detour into the psygressive electro realm with Lish and Citizen.

The rest of the set is a journey through increasingly intense and euphoric progressive psytrance, with both newer tunes from artists like Liquid Soul and Ace Ventura, as well two of my favourite remixes from 2002, brought to life by Son Kite and Ticon.
